We’re getting ready! This year’s ShredAbility is on April 7, 2017! Race around the mountain solving clues, win prizes, enjoy this this family fun event at Sunshine Village.

We would love you to join us this year! Teams of 2 secure their place by paying $25 each and then raising a minimum of $175 per person (min. $400 total per team). Don’t worry, using our online donation system, getting sponsorship to the event couldn’t be easier! We will set you up with your own page, where you can invite people to sponsor you and watch the olimometer (a donation thermometer) rise as the donations grow!

What’s included in your day? Well, a lot! Lift ticket to Sunshine Village, breakfast, bbq lunch, treasure hunt with ‘adaptive challenges’, prize giving, swag bags, and the chance to meet many wonderful individuals who take part in our adaptive programs. Oh, and there’s also a ton of prizes to win, including: highest fundraiser, best costume (did we mention it’s costume event?), fastest team, slowest team, winners of the challenge areas, and more!
Plus, Crazy Larry and his amazing balloon creations will be present for the day. We look forward to seeing what he has lined up this year!
All money raised go straight back to our awesome winter programs, and provides more individuals with the chance to enjoy sport and recreation. Please note: the treasure hunt is open to all, however in order to complete the clues, it does help to know your way around Sunshine Village.

What is this event? A giant treasure hunt with adaptive challenges spread over the mountain in accessible places for all.
How do I register? Use the button above to register. You will be required to pay an initial registration fee of $25 per person. This registration is not tax receiptable, however any donations above this amount are.
What level do I have to be to enter? There are 3 levels of entry. Green: for green runners, Blue: for those happy to cruise green and blue runs, and Black: for those who are comfortable on all green, blue & black runs (double black runs excluded).
When is it? Saturday April 8, 2017
When should I register by? April 6, 2017
How do I raise money? Register online, by clicking on the ‘Register Now’ button (above). All donors who donate $20 or more will receive a tax receipt. Donors may also donate via cheque or cash. Cheques are made payable to Rocky Mountain Adaptive, cash may be handed in at Check-In on the day of the event. All cash or cheque donations must be accompanied with the donors name, email address and physical address in order to receive a tax receipt.
Where are the clues? You will be given the first clue. Figure out one clue to find the next. Clues are spread around the mountain. The Green level is the shortest treasure hunt, Blue is longer, and Black is the longest.
How long do I have to complete the competition? Ski time is between 9am and 2:30pm. Download the Participant Schedule
Is it scavenger hunt timed? The race will be timed, from when you are given your first clue to when you arrive at the final destination.
Are there prizes for the winners? Yes, and for other participants.
Are there swag bags? Yes, all participants will receive a fantastic swag bag.
Who can win prizes? Prizes are awarded for teams with: most amount fundraised, best costumes, fastest team, slowest team, winners for challenge areas, youngest & oldest joint team age.
How many participants can be in 1 team? There should be 2 people per team, please let us know if you need a 3rd member to your team!
Can my team join another team? You are welcome to join another team of 2 should choose to. However you will be judged as independent teams.
What is the entry fee? Minimum raised of $200 per individual, either fundraised or personal donation, get sponsored to complete the event.
Do I need to buy my lift ticket? No, if you have raised the minimum amount required for your team (min $400) then your lift ticket is provided.
