Buddies

Rocky Mountain Adaptive offers a volunteer buddy service to support individuals requiring additional assistance while taking part in their chosen activity. Buddies are trained volunteers who guide the adaptive guests around suitable terrain, and may provide  assistance with getting on equipment, available during the Winter at Sunshine Village and Summer in the Bow Valley.

Buddies are not guaranteed until a volunteer confirms they are available. Buddies are not able to give advice on the advancement or correction of skills and cannot provide any personal care. Ski/Ride Buddy requests for guest under the age of 18 require a parent/caregiver to be present at all times. Pre booking is a must (the earlier the better!) and a voluntary contribution to the running of the program is greatly appreciated.
