Frequently asked questions about RMA's Bowhead Programs

Where will my Bowhead booking be located?

Bowhead lessons are held at the Canmore Nordic Centre. Lessons meet at the accessible parking outside Trail Sports.

Are there any disabled washrooms at the Canmore Nordic Centre?

Yes, there are accessible washrooms inside the day lodge at the Canmore Nordic Centre.

Where can I store my wheelchair when taking part in an activity with you?

Please aim to store your wheelchair in your vehicle. If you are unable to do so, you may also store it inside the day lodge. RMA will not accept any responsibility for loss or damage.

Can friends or family join a Bowhead lesson?

Yes, friends and family are welcome to join the lesson. If they wish to accompany the lesson as it moves location on the trail, they will need to bring a bike. Those wishing to join the lesson in a Bowhead themselves will be required to take an additional lesson.

Can my additional guests rent your equipment?

RMA has two additional hard tail bikes available for rental. You may add this request at time of booking.

Am I too small or large to ride a Bowhead?

Bowheads may be adjusted to most shape & sizes, using our additional padding. Bowhead lessons are available to age 8 years plus. If you have concerns about riding a Bowhead, please get in touch. 

I see helmets are required, do you rent them?

Yes, we do rent a small range of helmets (these may be added at time of booking), we also recommend and rent safety gear (elbow and knee pads)

Where can I eat lunch?

If your booking takes place over lunch, there is seating and picnic tables available inside and outside the Day Lodge area.
