Kent is involved with kayaking, hiking and biking in Rocky Mountain Adaptive’s summer season. During the winter he teaches downhill skiing in the 10 week program at Sunshine Village as well as teaching individual lessons for all levels of skiers. He started working with RMA in 2013 at the prompting of his daughter, an RMA employee. He began by helping bikers enjoy the terrain an the Canmore Nordic Centre. He soon joined in helping to provide trailrunner/hiking and kayaking experiences throughout the Bow Valley. By that fall he was invited to join RMA’s winter program as a ski instructor and has been enjoying many outdoor experiences with RMA ever since.
Kent is originally from Banff, Alberta but now makes his home in Calgary where he and his wife raised two daughters. Kent runs a business in Calgary providing standard and custom hardwood floors in both residential and commercial settings. He also is interested in music, using his B.mus degree teaching as a clinician at various schools in Calgary. Kent also enjoys trail and street running as a hobby, participating in various Events in Alberta and BC.
