Descriptions of Activities
Includes the chance to try kayaking, canoeing, and stand up paddleboarding. All equipment will be provided including lifejackets. This will take place on Quarry Lake or the Canmore Reservoir (Canmore Rundle Forebay), exact location to be determined in the lead up the event. All participants will have the chance to try each different activities, if desired, and suitable to the individual, and rotate equipment.
After lunch, participants are welcomed to join for a bike ride of the local trails. Groups will be formed depending on ability. Groups will be lead around the trails, allowing time for everyone to keep the pace. Some trails may include fun biking features. Hand Cycles will be provided if needed. Upon return, all participants will get the chance to try a hand cycle if desired.
Please note: we are unable to provide ‘regular’ bikes. If you want to join the bike ride, we recommend bringing or renting your own bikes for the afternoon.
A short, family friendly hike, allowing time for individuals and families to socialize.
White Water Rafting
After lunch, guests and their families will drive in separate vehicles to the rafting location, where all participants will receive a safety briefing. A Professional River Guide will explain and demonstrates paddle, safety and emergency techniques. This rafting adventure is located on the Kananaskis River and is suitable for individuals who have never rafted before, with class 2 & 3 rapids. Please note, that while we are required to arrive at the rafting location at 1:15pm, the actual rafting trip will not start until after everyone has changed into the appropriate clothing and gear. Around 2pm, a bus will transport all guests to the rafting site. If any guest has difficulty loading a bus, RMA may provide transportation in the RMA truck.
